Our client, a major English football team had been battling the sale of counterfeit goods and illegal ticket selling internally before contacting an investigator. There were two major issues and both required an entirely different approach, the first issue was with merchandisers selling counterfeit and unlicensed goods around the ground on match days, the second issue was the purchasing and resale of tickets by organised criminal gangs

Many marriages break down but not every couple take the final step of divorce and often spend years separated but technically still married. We were tasked with assisting a man who had been separated from his wife for a number of years as he had the intentions of marrying his new partner but when he asked his wife to sign the paperwork she had disappeared. She had left her job and moved out of the property but fortunately we were able to trace her to a new address, when our process server knocked on the door she was completely oblivious and openly admitted that she was indeed the woman named in the divorce petition our process server held in his hand. She was served a Divorce petition and our client was able to move forward with his new partner.

We were contacted by a woman in her late 20’s who had never met her birth mother as she was adopted at a young age, this was not new information as her parents had told her many years before. For a long time, she had sat on this information, unsure of whether she wanted to, or even could contact their mother and of course how she would go about it. The young woman decided to call us at this stage in her life as she was expecting to be a mother herself and merely wanted the opportunity to talk to her birth mother. As a landlord bad tenants are your worst nightmare, even after putting precautions in place, such as tenancy screening services, including debt checking and references from previous landlords, some of our landlord clients have found them self at a significant financial loss whether that’s due to being a smaller company or not having honest and reliable feedback to start with. The owner of a relatively modern 3 bedroom semi had been chasing his tenant for overdue rent over a number of months, they had previously been lenient as the tenant always had the perfect excuse, promising issues with work that are soon to be resolved and would be able to pay in the near future. It wasn’t until the tenant’s phone stopped accepting calls that the landlord drove to the property in attempt to speak to them. We were contacted by a man who wanted to discuss a divorce with his estranged wife, as with many of our clients he was unsure of how he would be able to file for divorce following a large period of separation coupled with having no contact. Our client and his wife had been separated for a number of years but were still married and after spending a couple of years he and his new muse decided they wanted to get married, but of course their desires were hampered by the previous marriage or client found difficult to remove himself from. An issue that he had in the early years of separation was that  his wife was not born in the UK and was concerned that if she got divorced she may lose her right to live here, so at the thought of divorce she became evasive and eventually cut all contact. When he attempted to contact his wife she had changed her number moved address and changed her job which left him chasing shadows and unsure about what to do next.
